Wednesday Evening Prayer Meeting

On the first and third Wednesdays of the month we hold a Prayer and Praise meeting at 6:00 PM for people to gather informally to pray with and for one another, and to raise a joyful noise to the Lord.  Any and all are welcome.

Fifth Sunday Joint Worship

Middleburg UMC and Rectortown UMC hold a joint workship service on the Fifth Sundays during the year.  The first one in 2022 will be January 30 at 11 AM at Rectortown, and the next will be May 29 at 11 AM at Middleburg UMC  Weather permitting, there will be a fellowship lunch outside after the service  Indoor lunches will resume once the pandemic is over.

Dinner in the Garden

A dinner will be held in the Church garden, weather permitting, or indoors, on the thrid Saturday evening in May. This will be followed by a concert with various local talented musicians an voaclists performing popular tunes.

Christmas in Middleburg

The first Saturday in December, the Church participates in the Town’s famous Christmas in Middleburg celebration. Starting in the morning in the Church garden, breakfast sandwiches and hot coffee will be sold to benefit Back Pack Buddies. A mid-day lunch of hot dogs, chips and sodas will also be offered.  There will be numerous vendors displaying their wares on the front lawn, including ornaments, crafts, nuts, candles and other items.

Children’s Christmas Pageant

The children and youth will don costumes and present a musical pageant during the worship service in the Christmas season.  In 2021, this will take place on Sunday, Dec. 12, during the 11:30 worship service.

Christmas Concert

On December 12, The Middleburg Concert Series presents a ticketed concert featuring the Shenandoah University Conservatory Choir with instrumental accompaniment, performing traditional and contemporary Christmas favorites.

Christmas Eve Service

On December 24, at 5:30 PM, a special Christmas worship service will be held.
